Two weeks we spent in the Buckhorn High School. My mentor - teacher's name is Jenifer King. She teachs English (as first language) in the ninth grade.
The classes (periods - as they called them) in the American school are very long - 96 minutes. So they can do at the lesson a lot of different things. Sometimes students read their books, write the journal, copy the agenda of the class into their copybooks. Actually, they have not copy-books, they just have the big folders with a lot of papers.
